Product Detail
Twin XL bunk bed for taller students; reinforced steel frame
Typical production lead time: 9–10 weeks — see Lead Times

Construction & Materials
A Twin XL Bunk Bed adds structural demands a standard bed frame never sees: full guardrails, ladder attachment points, and a top bunk that has to hold weight without flex. DMD builds bunk frames in welded steel with powder-coated finishes or engineered-wood platforms in Reinforced powder-coated steel; safety rails; ladder, with guardrail and ladder hardware engineered specifically for institutional use rather than adapted from a residential bunk kit. Every joint on the load path is bolted or welded, not glued, because dormitory turnover happens every August whether the frame is ready or not.
Specification Notes
University housing and facilities teams specify Bunk Beds against unit count and a fixed summer install window, so DMD plans production to the academic calendar rather than a standard commercial lead time. We ship knock-down to simplify move-in-week installation, stage deliveries by building and floor for Educational Facilities dormitory projects, and supply consistent finishes across rooms so future replacements match the original run. Send your room counts, mattress program, and install window and we will return a phased delivery plan.
